We rode through Coyhaique and the heart of the carretera Austral. this was an amazing ride. the roads were good and then sights were equally breathtaking. the mountains seem to be geting more jagged and rough, seemingly more harsh. Intersting briges too, they seem to love their suspension bridges.
We stopped in a small town call cerro costillo. Didnt think there was much to do, but after talking to some of the locals, one of them offered to give us a tour of the local hand paintings. Over varying generations of settlers, they have made these hand imprentations. the local invited us over after the tour and we stayed at his place for a while with his father who paints, see below and a friend who owns a campsite. An interesting mixture of spanish talking and some old corolla tinkering.
